US Trip

Anna and Sabine make Wiener Schnitzel for the Farm Team

August 5, 2015 Guest User

After this short time staying in the US, Anna and I realized we had to get used to Americans’ eating habits.
There are big differences between Americans and Austrians which aren't easy to explain. So we decided to change things.

We had the great idea of showing them how delicious Austrian food is. We prepared THE typical Austrian dish, Wiener Schnitzel, for our host family and the whole working crew.
And all in all these guys really loved it; they stopped talking while they ate!
I would say, mission successful!

Do you also want to prepare " Wiener Schnitzel"?
-> so here is the receipe!!
Ingredients:
-pork
-flour
-eggs
-very very small bread crumbs
-sunflower oil
-salt
-rice
-potatoes
-parsley

First you slice the pork in very thin pieces, then take the pork and salt it. Take the salted pork and put it in some flour and in a pan of beaten eggs. The last step for the pork is to put it in bread crumbs and firm the crumbs down.
The meat is prepared and you can fry it in sunflower oil until the pork is evenly cooked. As a side dish you can serve boiled rice and parsley potatoes. To prepare these potatoes you have to boil them, peel them and then you put the potatoes in salted butter with parsley.
Your typical Austrian dish is ready.
Enjoy!

--- Anna
